How do I buy a domain name gift?
The process is very
simple. All you need is the recipients name.

Once you have found a
domain name that you like and is available, you proceed to the
shopping cart.

a gift package, provide personalization information as well as provide
billing and shipping info.

The domain is
registered. Activation information and the gift package is sent
to you or the recipient depending on what you choose.

How long does it take?
With the
Standard Package, the registration and activation information comes
immediately as part of your confirmation email. You may want
to print out a Do-It-Yourself Giftnote if you are giving it as a
gift. The other gift packages include a tangible gift
which is shipped out of Portland Oregon within 3 business days of
your order to the address you indicate. Delivery is dependent on the shipping method you
choose.

portion of a domain name is called the Top Level Domain (TLD). It is

What is length of the
registration period?
As with all
domain name registrations done worldwide, the buyer selects the term of the
registration with a maximum term of 10 years established by ICANN (Internet
Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, which is an organization
responsible for managing the internet's domain name system. As
the expiration date approaches, the recipient receives email notifications
so they have the option to renew. During checkout you can select from
1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 year registration terms. You will note that the
price drops significantly after the first year. Most of our customers
opt for a 1-3 year registration period.
Does
the
recipient have to use the free email account, free hosting, free starter
website or free blog?
Of course not - but
it is there if needed and we hope that the recipient will because it will

for two main reasons:
